Chemical Process Corporation
After Manufacturing our first compressor in 1924 and our first screw compressor in 1964, Mayekawa Manufacturing Company steadily grew to be one of the largest oil flooded screw manufacturers in the world. Due to their simple and robust design, oil flooded screw compressors have been successful in a wide variety of applications from simple industrial refrigeration to highly specified offshore petrochemical compression. To better serve our customers in the petrochemical and severe duty markets, Mayekawa Manufacturing Corporation formed Mycom Chemical Process Corporation in Torrance, California.
1924
Kisaku Maekawa founded Mayekawa & Co., in Tokyo, Japan. Commenced production of vertical reciprocating refrigeration compressors.
1937
Established Mayekawa Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Tokyo, Japan.
1958
Commenced production of high speed multi-cylinder reciprocating compressors
1964
Developed screw refrigeration compressor. Established a first overseas subsidiary, MAYEKAWA DE MEXICO S.A., in Mexico.
1965
Developed and installed the first liquid pump refrigeration system on board a ship.
1969
Constructed Moriya Factory and commenced the mass production of screw and reciprocating compressors.
1970
Installed first screw heat pump unit in OSAKA DENTSU BUILDING in Osaka, Japan.
1979
Installed a flexible manufacturing system (FMS) at Moriya Factory for screw and reciprocating compressor production lines.
1990
Installed 100 Barg discharge gas compressor, Japan.
1994
Formed Mycom Chemical Process Corporation division to better serve Oil and Gas markets.
1994
Moriya Factory obtained IS09001 (Quality Assurance System Standards) certificate
1996
Delivered ammonia refrigeration systems for all ice rinks, curling arena, and bobsled/luge tracks of 1998 Nagano Olympic Winter Games in Japan. Moriya Factory obtained IS014001 (Environmental Management System Standards) certificate.
1999
Delivered world's largest compound 2-stage helium compressor to CERN, France/Switzerland

Introduction of standard high pressure gas compressor
